What is PELSA
PELSA is the ELS Plovdiv Alumni Association.
PELSA seeks to support ELS Plovdiv, its students, faculty, and programs by encouraging and facilitating participation by all alumni in the worldwide ELS Plovdiv community.
Our primary objective is building a network of alumni, partners, and friends of the school, facilitating communications between our alumni regardless of their location, uniting efforts in support of ELS Plovdiv by nurturing each alumna and alumnus’s relationships with the School and with other alumni.
In support of our goals, PELSA helps in:
- coordinating the organization and functions of local alumni chapters,
- collecting and streamlining monetary donations for ELS Plovdiv,
- providing college information, coaching and advising to graduating students,
- providing career networking tools to help alumni in their job search,
- organizing programs, events, and meetings with alumni and the school,
- providing funding for school and alumni programs.
PELSA Inc. is registered as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in the US. PELSA Bulgaria is registered as a non-profit organization in Bulgaria.
What is PELSA Foundation
PELSA Foundation is a non-profit organization created by the ELS Plovdiv Alumni Association (PELSA) for the purposes of fundraising and managing the PELSA Alumni Fund.
The main purpose of the fund is to support the alumni, the School and its programs, students and teachers.
All ELS Plovdiv alumni automatically become lifelong members of PELSA.

We strive to be an internationally recognized group contributing to the development of knowledge in the communities, and providing opportunities to people. Our group makes every effort to help members and affiliates stay in touch and develop prospering relationships. Honesty, camaraderie, integrity, responsibility, and reliability are major priorities for our entire group. It is basic to this mission that the ELS Alumni Club continually expand its worldwide network of alumni, thereby offering ever-greater numbers of people the opportunity to benefit from the programs and activities of the Club.

Through these groups, the Alumni Club helps men and women learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking – vital skills that promote self-actualization, enhance leadership, foster human understanding, and contribute to the betterment of mankind.
We’d like to believe that we empower people to achieve their full potential and realize their dreams. Through our member club, alumni, partners, and friends throughout the world can expand their communication, leadership skills, and opportunities.
How To Get Involved
You can contribute to the success of ELS and the Alumni Club on many levels, depending on your schedule and interests.
- Start out by creating an account at PELSA.org if you haven’t already done so
- Get in touch with the closest alumni club or if you can’t find such, start a new one
- Stay in touch with your friends from school. This website can help you do this, so use it as often as you can
- Participate in any events and activities near you as time permits
- Donate! For a list of all open to donations items, click here.
If you’re interested, move to the next level by volunteering to lead within your chosen activity or community. Successful volunteer leadership can lead to increased engagement with PELSA and the School and may make you a candidate for other leadership roles, including the Alumni Club governance.
